The Holy Father Pope Francis erected an Apostolic Exarchate for the Syro-Malabar faithful in Canada with its See in MISSISSAUGA on 6 August 2015. Fr. JOSE KALLUVELIL, was appointed its first Bishop Exarch, assigning him the titular see of “Tabalta” on the same day. The Holy Father has raised the Exarchy of Missisauga in Canada to the status of an Eparchy on 22 December 2018.
