Reading 3, 1 Cor 1:26-33 : God who chooses the foolish

26What then, brethren? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.
27If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three, and each in turn; and let one interpret.
28But if there is no one to interpret, let each of them keep silence in church and speak to himself and to God.
29Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said.
30If a revelation is made to another sitting by, let the first be silent.
31For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all be encouraged;
32and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.
33For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,

Gospel, Mt 11:25-30 : Jesus the comfort of the poor and the afflicted

25 At that time Jesus declared, "I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes;
26 yea, Father, for such was thy gracious will.
27 All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and any one to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
